How we handle your information, your photos, and the Microsoft name. Written by students, in plain English. Questions about any of it: mslearn@charlotte.edu.
Privacy Policy
Microsoft Learn at UNC Charlotte (“the club”) is a registered student organization at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, run entirely by student volunteers. This policy covers this website and the member portal.
What we collect.
- Membership info: name, UNCC email, and major when you register.
- Participation: event check-ins, engagement points, and certification progress you log with us.
- Form submissions: anything you send through applications, surveys, or the Suggestion Box. Name and email on the Suggestion Box are optional; leave them blank and the submission is anonymous, we don't track who sent it.
How we use it. To run the club: managing membership, planning events, tracking attendance, and awarding certifications and points. We never sell your information and never use it for advertising.
Who sees it. Club officers, for club business only. We report aggregate numbers (like total attendance) to UNC Charlotte for student-organization requirements, never individual details, except where university policy or law requires it.
Your data, your call. Email mslearn@charlotte.edu anytime to see what we have on you or to have it deleted. Alumni records are kept for the network unless you ask us to remove them.
Terms of Use
By using this site or the member portal, you agree to the following:
- It's a student project. This site is informational, maintained by volunteers, and content may change or contain errors. Everything is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind.
- Accounts. Keep your login to yourself. Officers may suspend accounts used to abuse the platform or other members.
- Acceptable use. Don't scrape member information, submit abusive or spam content through our forms, or attempt to access areas of the portal you're not authorized for.
- Our materials. Study guides and workshop content are made by club members for learning. They are not official Microsoft courseware and come with no guarantee of exam outcomes.
- External links. Links to Microsoft Learn, UNC Charlotte, and other sites are for convenience and aren't endorsements in either direction.
Microsoft Trademark Notice
We are not Microsoft. Microsoft Learn at UNC Charlotte is an independent, non-commercial student organization. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation.
How we use the name. We use the name “Microsoft Learn” descriptively, it's what we do: study Microsoft technologies and the Microsoft Learn platform together. We do not use the Microsoft corporate logo or any official Microsoft brand assets on this site or in our materials.
No commercial gain. The club is free to join and makes no revenue from the Microsoft name. We exist to help students learn Microsoft tools, earn Microsoft certifications, and, frankly, become bigger fans of the ecosystem.
Microsoft, Microsoft Learn, Azure, Microsoft 365, GitHub, and related marks are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Photo & Media Release
Club events may be photographed or recorded. Photos and clips may appear on this website, our Instagram, and club materials like recap posts and slide decks.
Opting out is easy. Tell any officer at the event, or email mslearn@charlotte.edu afterward, and we'll avoid featuring you and take down anything already posted, no questions asked.

- Harassment, discrimination, and disrespectful behavior are not tolerated at any club event, in the portal, or in club channels.
