Microsoft Learn at UNC Charlotte is a student organization open to every major and every skill level. Some of us arrived writing our first line of code; others came in shipping projects. All of us learn side by side.

We exist because classroom learning alone doesn't land the job. Members leave with certifications, portfolio projects, and a network: the things recruiters actually look for.

To prepare students for professional excellence using Microsoft tools and skills, while building a strong community around Microsoft products.

How we execute our mission

One Excel curriculum, an official Microsoft certification, and a real project every semester. Dues cover all of it.

A structured Excel curriculum that ends in an official Microsoft certification. We work through the material together, run practice exams, and keep each other accountable to test day.

Meet the team, see what we're running this semester, and sign up. No experience or commitment required.

Workshops & Labs
Work through our Excel curriculum in hands-on sessions. Bring a laptop, build along, and ship something real.

Preparation
Study jams and practice exams get you ready for your certification, with the whole club keeping you on pace.

Get Certified
Sit the exam and walk away with an official Microsoft certification on your resume.

What a semester looks like

The general rhythm, fall or spring. Dates shift; the shape stays the same.

Week 1
Interest Meeting
Meet the club and see the semester plan.
First Half
Curriculum
Weekly workshops and labs, building toward the certification.
Midterms
Break Week
No meetings. Study and reset.
Second Half
Curriculum
Projects, practice exams, and the final push to certify.
Finals
Free Week
No meetings. Final exams and rest.
Curriculum blocks flex each semester: one deep dive or up to four shorter ones. We announce the lineup at the interest meeting.
